Police Lightbars – A Law Enforcement Officer’s Most Useful Piece Of Kit
Police lightbars have to be all things to all officers. Most police vehicles will have a lightbar on top of the roof. Many vehicles will have lightbars fitted internally to the vehicle. With the advancements in technology and mass production now the norm, Police lightbars are all encompassing multi-purpose units that give them all of their emergency/hazard/warning lighting in a single unit. Police supply items are not just for Police OfficersHow many professions would need great quality reliable items for work, firefighters, EMT personnel, military and many others need such items. Police supply items will be equally at home with any other professional person that needs the best kit. Is a flashlight something that would be exclusively used by a police officer or law enforcement agent? What about a tactical vest or duty belt, would those only be of any use to police? Of course, not, many professions and civilians alike could have use of those work boots, they may use them in slightly different ways but use them nevertheless. Can police supply items help in saving officers from the daily dangers they face?In some respects if you look at published figures of police officer deaths in the line of duty, numbers have come down. Does that mean their job is now less fraught with danger? On the contrary, their jobs are more dangerous but the police supply kit they have at their disposal is saving lives. Not only that fatality is less common as EMT teams respond quicker and have far more medical equipment on hand than ever before. Therefore, although there is possibly a drop in numbers of officers killed as opposed to say the 70′s and 80′s, the danger is ever more present.police supply body armour has saved countless lives over the years and according to Ron McBride of the DuPont/IACP Survivors Club, 3,112 law enforcement officers have been saved by body armour since they started recording such things back in 1975.
